Tom's Ponty speech
There's the precious memories,
that I would like to recall
and there are some things
that I would like to forget.
I've been up
and I've been down
and sometimes just in between,
but you know something,
I don't think I've reach my highest mountain yet.
Yes, I know God's blessed me,
time and time and time again,
and His blessings far exceed my deepest woe I've had the help of loved ones
and many friends who stood by me,
and without their faith,
I would have given up a long long time ago.
I remember my boyhood days,
back in Pontypridd, South Wales.
I remember the summers
and that cold Welsh rain.
And you know sometimes I wish
I could come back
and re-live yesterday
and for a while
be mammy's little boy again.
You see,
the things that matter most in this whole world,
money just can't buy.
Sweet love,
precious memories,
that will live on and on and on and on and on.
And sometimes when I stumble,
sometimes fall,
I would wonder why,
but I remember,
that I will never, never walk alone.
Yes, these are the things
that matter most
to me!
